About Jean Grey:
Jean Elaine Grey is a fictional character appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics. The character has been known under the aliases Marvel Girl, Phoenix and Dark Phoenix. Created by writer Stan Lee and artist/co-plotter Jack Kirby, the character first appeared in The X-Men #1
About the Creation:
A tribute to original Marvel Comics X-Men team member Jean Grey. Originally created by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby ‘Marvel Girl’ was the early alias of character Jean Grey, first appearing in The X-Men #1 (September 1963). "I completed an online study to work on my technique and in that course, I worked on another character from a book I was drawing for. When I finished, I really liked the result and wanted to draw another. I chose Marvel Girl because she was the original Jean Grey and a personal favorite. The image reflects the caring and innocent nature of a young Jean Grey and is very much inspired by my early love for the anime cartoons I watched growing up in Costa Rica.– Francine Delgado
