About the Kraven's Hunt:
Kraven hunts & defeats Spidey, shooting him & burying him. He dons the costume, brutally attacking criminals & capturing Vermin, a feat Spidey needed Cap America's help with. After two weeks, Spidey revives & confronts Kraven, who claims victory & releases Vermin despite Spidey's protests. Vermin wounds Spidey, but Kraven stops him from killing. He retires home, reminiscing & committing suicide, leaving a confession & photographic proof with police. Spidey catches Vermin, turns him in, & goes home to his wife.

About the Creation:
Bob McLeod, Marvel Comics artist, recreated the cover art of Kraven's Hunt series. He inked Mike Zeck's pencils, subtly adjusting them. McLeod: "I didn't trace his drawing, but it's close. Others adapted the cover, replacing Spider-Man with Peter Porker."

About the Artist:
Bob McLeod is a renowned comic art legend, inducted into the Hall of Fame in 1951. Hailing from Florida, he is best known for co-creating Marvel Comics' The New Mutants with writer Chris Claremont. McLeod has also contributed to The Incredible Hulk, Conan the Barbarian, Legion of Super Heroes, Detective Comics, Wonder Woman, The New Titans, Star Wars, and Spider-Man.
